with wind in my hair, i was travelling high..
soaring with every step i took, i never had time to stop and look
at the world beneath me, cowering under my shadow
magnificient as i felt, the world under my shade.
but one day, everything fell apart.
the sky crashed on me and i was crushed to death.
Death didnt hurt me but the reality of it shocked me.
i realised that it wasn't me who was flying high
but i was made to move higher, coz the higher you fall from, the harder you hit yourself,
thats what i learnt in school from Newton's Third Law of Motion.
terrible was the feeling, life seemed to be an eternal burden.
Death was a relief.
oh..why didn't you come earlier and curb my tyranny on unjustified freedom???

why?
Give me Hell, coz Heaven is not a place for me
Give me death, coz life is not meant for me
Give me hate, coz love isn't something I deserve
Heaven, Life and Love is what mankind craves for
Think beyond these and there is so much pain and suffering around us.
Why do we then camouflage the facts and toast on fiction?
Why is it that myth is always sweeter than reality?
Why are lies always preferred over an honest truth?
Why can't we look beyond the covers into the shady side of reality and break the shackles of lies and hypocrisy?
Are we afraid that we might lose a lot and gain nothing at all ?
But, then life isn't all about losing and gaining.
Its more about a beginning and an end
Why can't we then make a small beginning towards the Truth into an eternal journey till the end of the road?
Give me death, coz life is not meant for me
Give me hate, coz love isn't something I deserve
Heaven, Life and Love is what mankind craves for

Who Survives???
survival is the name of the game.
if thats so, we all survive in some way or the other.
so who is the biggest player in the game
and who judges the winner?

It Breaks My Heart...
There was an old lady over the phone last week.... i was troubleshooting a software issue with her.
she sounded desperate to get hold of certain files that got lost somehow from her system. it seemed to me that she was on the verge of breaking up. i assured her that we would both try and find out the location of the file so that we could open it on her software.
she calmed down and thanked me for helping her out with the issue.
but... before we proceeded with the troubleshooting i told her that the issue that she had come up with was a billable issue according to the company's policies. she agreed to it....( personally speaking..i donot like billing the customers...but cant help it at times...lest they throw me out...)
so we started searching her files and folders and finally after an hour of search, we finally brought the file she was looking for, from a hidden location on the computer. (Ah!!! what a relief for me and the customer..)
However..thats when it happened...she suddenly broke down and thanked me immensely for helping her out in retriving the file..the file was very important to her because it contained some very important information about her financial status..
she told me she was a new user of this program and her husband used to manage everything in the program till the previous week when a sudden death took him away from her..
she went ahead and told me about how she was out of the room for five minutes and when she came back, he was nomore..he died peacefully.
she told me that now that he wasn't around anymore, she missed him badly and felt so helpless and lost without him...(they must have been so much in love with each other). it brought tears to my eyes and my voice choked.
later on she was complimenting me about the job and was also telling me that we indians are so helping and kind...and so on..
i couldnt hear everthing she said coz my ears and my voice got all blocked up and the only thing that i could think of was how painful it must have been for her to lose someone she loved...infact how painful it would be for anyone to lose the one they care about and love..
i closed my eyes, took a deep breath and tried to concentrate on my job but the lady left a mark on my mind and i couldn't help thinking about the pain she must be going through...
But this is life and life goes on even when the road is steep and the turnings are sharp...

A little about me
Prior to coming to delhi, i was staying in kolkata with my parents. i had been staying there for the past 13 years, so i know quite a lot about the place and truly speaking...i just love the city.
i love kolkata for all the things that it has...be it, the laid back attitude of the people out there or the flee markets like 'fancy market' or esplanade or gariahat...kolkata is just too grand for me to explain what it is in just few simple sentences.
its the city of my choice
